This wellness and lifestyle client hired Mari B Interiors to not only design their first white box space, but also to develop the concept and branding for this start up company. With multiple locations on the horizon, MBI commissioned noir.nyc to develop design and branding simultaneously and form the design concept that could be easily recreated in all manor of the later stores, regardless of size, shape and location. Millwork was designed and finishes were selected with “roll-out” capability in mind.
For this project, MBI was responsible for producing the floor plan, demolition and construction plans, electric and lighting plan, as well as designing and producing shop drawings for the stores millwork and storage, tailor made to suit this specialty industry’s regulations and flow requirements.
Concrete, neon and mirrored surfaces were the basis for the scheme. MBI created several interesting design features with a creative use of light in the public and private areas.
Mari b Interiors was commissioned to work with the ground up developers on this apartment building in Brooklyn New York. Mari B extensively surveyed the area and demographic of potential buyers in order to formulate a budget appropriate design style for young buyers in the rapidly gentrified area of Bushwick.
The first area of design was the façade and in true MBI style, a mix of traditional and modern was opted for using beautiful reclaimed bricks alongside blackened steel, glass and brass elements. This theme remains a common thread throughout the building design, pairing details and fixtures with traditional accents.
Interior Design by Mari B Interiors included kitchen design, bathroom design, reflected ceiling plan and floor planning, lobby design and landscaping for the small front and backyard.
Mari B Interiors was asked to design a home for the serious car enthusiast and their beloved machines. The luxury storage and private club is founded to serve as a home for serious collectors, building a culture around the automobile as fine art. Encased in glass, the lounge sits within the storage area where members can gaze from the comfort of luxury interiors. MBI wished to combine a modern and current feel with a nod of respect to the vintage and created the scheme named “Modern Mad Men”. The materials palette consists of brushed steel, stitched black leathers, custom surfaces and walnut veneers reflecting the fine details of a prized classic and timeless automobile.
