Concrete, neon and mirrored surfaces were the basis for the scheme. MBI created several interesting design features with a creative use of light in the public and private areas.
Mari b Interiors was commissioned to work with the ground up developers on this apartment building in Brooklyn New York. Mari B extensively surveyed the area and demographic of potential buyers in order to formulate a budget appropriate design style for young buyers in the rapidly gentrified area of Bushwick.
The first area of design was the façade and in true MBI style, a mix of traditional and modern was opted for using beautiful reclaimed bricks alongside blackened steel, glass and brass elements. This theme remains a common thread throughout the building design, pairing details and fixtures with traditional accents.
Interior Design by Mari B Interiors included kitchen design, bathroom design, reflected ceiling plan and floor planning, lobby design and landscaping for the small front and backyard.
